Stanford Asian Liver Center

Picture
"The Asian Liver Center at Stanford University is the first non-profit organization in the United States that addresses the high incidence of hepatitis B and liver cancer in Asians and Asian Americans. Founded in 1996, the center uses a three-pronged approach towards fighting hepatitis B through outreach & education, advocacy, and research. Specifically, the Asian Liver Center spearheads educational outreach and advocacy efforts in the areas of hepatitis B and liver cancer prevention and treatment, serves as a resource for both the general public and health practitioners, and implements clinical and research programs."

San Francisco Hep B Free

Picture
"San Francisco Hep B Free is a citywide campaign to turn San Francisco into the first hepatitis B free city in the nation. This unprecedented campaign will provide free and low-cost hepatitis B testing and vaccinations to Asian and Pacific Islander (API) adults at locations throughout San Francisco. "

Alameda County Hep B Free

Note: The Hep B Project focuses its services on Alameda County and is not associated with any political advocacy for HBV
Picture
"Alameda County Hep B Free works with existing initiatives and builds new partnerships and collaborations to make Alameda county free of Hepatitis B and liver cancer, utilizing the model established by the SF Hep B Free campaign. We will accomplish this by:
  1. Creating public and healthcare provider awareness about the importance of testing and vaccinating at risk
populations, especially APIs, for Hepatitis B.
  2. Promoting routine Hepatitis B testing and vaccination within the primary care medical community.
  3. Ensuring access to treatment for chronically infected individuals"
