On Saturday, March 5, The Hep B Project participated in the American Medical Student Association Pre-Health Conference at UC Berkeley. We were asked to table at this Conference as part of health related volunteer opportunities around the Bay area.
For an hour, participants of this conference, which included many Berkeley students and high school seniors, were able to walk around and learn about different health organizations. We were able to share what The Hep B Project does and talk to prospective volunteers. We also outreached to other organizations as well.
Overall, the tabling was a success. A variety of students came to our table and seemed quite interested in our project.
“The students that came up to our table did not know too much about our project,” volunteer Jennifer Nam said. “However, once we started describing what we do, I could see in their faces how excited and intrigued they were about The Hep B Project. I am really glad I got to partake in this event and share my own experiences with this project with others.
