The Hep B Project stands in solidarity with the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community against the hate crimes committed all across the country. We denounce the prejudice that motivates these crimes. The recent murders of Soon Park, Hyun Jung Grant, Suncha Kim, Yong Yue, Xiaojie Tan, Daoyou Feng, Delaina Ashley Yaun, and Paul Andre Michels wasn’t an isolated incident: since COVID-19 induced the lockdown last March, there has been continuous violence against AAPI communities.
Here are some resources to support the AAPI community:
- Crisis Text Line (Text HOME to 741741)
- Explore other ways to prioritize safety and provide help on stopaapihate.org/ and www.advancingjustice-aajc.org/
- Utilize the professional development programs offered to AAPI women by apawomen.org/
- Use the #StopAsianHate hashtag
